As part of Zillow’s internal hackathon, I found that there are many users of the website that had some form of visual imparity. They were not blind, but the experience of using Zillow was not optimal. This proposal won the internal Zillow Hackathon.

United States Visually Impaired Statistics
The problem:
Most websites don’t support the visually impaired. They are in fact designed for people with 20/20 vision on retina displays.
These are some of the problems with the current systems:
- Screen Readers require extra development work
- Current Products are hard to use and are not widely implemented or up to date
- A wide range of visually disabled conditions required custom solutions
The viewing experience is different for everyone. Even for those that have perfect eyesights, the visual experience. It is commonly accepted that people perceive colour different, for instance, the colour green does not appear the same for everyone. This idea is even more pronounced for people with visual disabilities.
